American professional baseball player David Wright has an estimated net worth of $80 million.

David Wright started his career while studying at the Hickory High School. He earned an All-State honors from 1999 to 2001, and received the 2001 Gatorade Virginia High School Player of the Year. During his stint with the team, he hit .438 with 13 home runs, and 90 RBIs.

He was chosen by the New York Mets during the supplemental round of 2001 amateur draft. Wright appeared in the minor league represented Class A St. Lucie Mets, Double-A Binghamton Mets, and Triple-A Norfolk Tides.

Wright debuted in the Majors in 2004, and played third base against the Montreal Expos. He played seven times at Major League Baseball All-Star Game, and also at World Baseball Classic in 2009 and 2013. He won the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Awards in 2007 and 2008 respectively. In 2013, he was named team captain.
