Mike Vrabel was born Michael George Vrabel in Akron, Ohio on August 14, 1975. He spent most of his life in the American Midwest. He first attended Jordanian Walsh High School in Cuyahoga Falls, before heading to Ohio State University for an athletic scholarship after a successful high school career..
Vrabel played as a defensive end for the Ohio Buckeyes football team member from 1993 to 1996. During that time, he was twice named the Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year ( 1995 and 1996) and was recognized as a consensus First Team All-American team.
